Director Lanre holds a Ph.D. in Energy Economics with a focus on electricity sector performance. From a career in investment banking he moved to the Bureau of Public Enterprises, where he was the senior adviser on the electricity industry reform process before moving on to join the fledgling NERC in 2007. From December 2008 to March 2010 he was Minister of Power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He helped develop the strategies and programs for the Yar’Adua socio-economic development blueprint as outlined in the Seven Point Agenda. Alongside various non-executive directorships, Lanre is currently CEO of Exenergia Consulting Ltd. |
